Kuhl 50# range feeder

Very nice feeder. Very easy to adjust for feed. Needs to be located away from areas where there will be a strong wind as the rain cap is free floating and will tilt with the breeze and wind, which can block access on one side. My chickens have gotten used to it gently bumping their backs as the breeze blows. I have never seen sparrows or any other birds, or creature try to eat from it that weren't supposed to. The feed pan depth is too great and the dividers around the outside make it too difficult for small birds to feel safe getting into it. I never have feed waste from it either. One heavy storm blew the rain cap enough to let water soak the feed in the pan. Chickens loved it! I had to scrape the rest of the wet feed out from under the grain storage cylinder to get it flowing again but there was no feed wasted or lost. Chickens looked funny coming out with piles of wet feed stuck to the top of their beaks. They wiped it in the grass and then ate it off the grass.
